LAGALAXY, born Massimo Giannosi in Trani, Puglia (Italy), is an electronic music artist now creating pulsating rhythms from his base in Dublin, Ireland. Specializing in Techno-Trance and PsyTrance, his sound reflects a lifelong immersion in global music cultures.

“Since I was very young, I’ve been immersed in the world of music,” he says, crediting early exposure to dancehall reggae parties, rock concerts, and underground raves for shaping his eclectic tastes.

Early Musical Background: From Italian Roots to Dublin’s Scene

Growing up in southern Italy, LAGALAXY attended diverse musical events, including dancehall reggae parties, rock concerts, disco clubs, and festivals. After relocating to Dublin, he began learning the cajon and drums, eventually joining the rock band Skakky Blues as a percussionist.

The COVID-19 pandemic marked a turning point: “With no parties and quarantine, I began learning music production,” he explains. This shift led him to explore psytrance and techno, blending live instrumentation with digital experimentation.

Musical Development: Self-Taught Producer with Global Inspirations

LAGALAXY’s production style emerged during lockdowns, inspired by artists like Raja Ram (psytrance pioneer), Talamasca, Goasia, Spiral Tribe, and Kernel Panic. He taught himself to create music digitally, focusing on high-energy Techno-Trance and PsyTrance grooves.

“I create all my music,” he states, emphasizing his hands-on approach. His tracks often feature driving basslines and hypnotic melodies, designed to evoke the energy of festivals and underground parties.

LAGALAXY has performed at notable events, including:

• Audio Garden Festival (a career highlight)
• The Post Bar in London
• An Underground Rave party at Il Capannone in his hometown of Trani, Italy

“I’ll play an old-school, electric set—I hope you enjoy it!” he says of his upcoming show. When not producing, he experiments in the kitchen: “I love to cook; when I’m not playing music, I spend time there.”

His ultimate ambitions are clear: “To play at the Boom Festival and Ozora Festival,” two of the world’s largest psychedelic music events. “In a couple of years, I see myself traveling around Europe, playing my music at psytrance festivals,” he shares.
