2022 is shaping up to be an amazing year for festivals here in Ireland. From indie to rock to techno, the music that will be heard all spring and summer is guaranteed to impress. Here at Tune Hoppers, we are especially interested in the underground techno and psytrance scene.
It is a movement that has been kept alive in Ireland by some of the hardest working DJs and musicians in the industry. The Audio Garden Festival is one of the main events for this community, and returns in 2022 for its best show to date.
Audio Garden began 5 years ago now, in 2017. It was a time when the lack of festivals for the alternative techno and psytrance scene was recognized, and leaders in the community sought the creation of such an event.
COVID-19 took a heavy toll on the live music scene at large, and Audio Garden was not spared. The festival had to cancel dates for the year of 2020, and was not held again in 2021. This year marks the event's comeback, and big plans have been made.
Audio Garden is an Irish haven for those who adore electronic and trance music. The event planners and attending performers give it their all to ensure the best possible experience for each fan.
What makes Audio Garden Festival so special is that it is one of the few major events available for techno and psytrance fans. A festival made by the community, for the community, paving the way as well for future meetups like this year's Euphonics Festival.
From the 26th to the 28th of August, fans can expect to be amazed by 2022's Audio Garden Festival. With two different stages, and three entire days of music, it becomes more obvious why Audio Garden has such massive influence on underground scene here in Ireland.
Audio Garden is being held at the Burtown House and Gardens in County Kildare, Ireland. It's a unique place, with the eponymous old over-covered house staring out over the lawn soon to be filled with festival goers.
There are a variety of amenities available at Audio Garden. Of course, the fields of the Burtown House are perfect for camping, and there is also a large carpark. Toilets and food stalls will be readily available, as is expected. There is even a workshop venue where attendees can partake in art and ecology workshops.
Audio Garden has a policy of leaving a venue as clean as when fans arrived, and because of this, they ask festival goers to refrain from bringing glass on site, as well as starting gas fires and barbecues.
The venue and amenities are important to a festival, of course, but when it comes down to it, we here at Tune Hoppers really care about the lineup. Luckily, Audio Garden 2022 has us covered, as some of the best DJs and producers in the scene are attending.
As mentioned before, Audio Garden will be split into two stages. The Rabbit Hole stage will features the psytrance acts, while the Eden stage will have a larger focus on techno. Headlining the festival are names like SEE O SEE, Paddy Sheridan, and LX-D.
Whether you recognize these artists are not, be assured that Audio Garden Festival is like nothing else you can find in Ireland, and maybe even Europe. It is the culmination of a community who is not only passionate about the music they create, but the fans who come to listen as well.
