Music has been part of Hell Chico's life since he was very young. Born in Spain and now living in Drumcondra, Dublin, Hell Chico's musical journey began in a home filled with music. Although no one in his family was a musician, his father played music constantly - whether they were at home or traveling in the car. This early exposure to music helped shape Hell Chico's future path in the music industry.
Hell Chico discovered his voice early, beginning to sing when he was just 10 years old. However, it wasn't until his 15th birthday that he made a decision that would change his life - he started playing the guitar. This combination of singing and guitar playing would become the foundation of his musical career.
When asked about what inspired him to pursue music, Hell Chico gives credit to his first guitar teacher who encouraged him to build a long-lasting musical career. But more than anything, it was what Hell Chico describes as his "very own will to become a rockstar" that pushed him forward. By age 16, he was already writing his own songs, showing his early commitment to creating original music.
One of the most impressive things about Hell Chico is his ability to play many different types of music. His musical talents span across an impressive range of genres, including jazz, rock, folk, flamenco, blues, bossa nova, son, pop, and metal. This versatility shows his deep understanding of different musical styles and his ability to connect with various audiences.
As a songwriter, Hell Chico digs deep into meaningful themes. His lyrics often explore the complex topics of loss and the challenges of finding happiness in today's world. He writes about what he calls "the naĂŻve pursuit of happiness within the frustrating realm of Capitalism" and discusses how artistic expression can help people find inner freedom. He also frequently writes about time and timing, adding a touch of humor by saying he's "always late, even in life itself."
Throughout his career, Hell Chico has achieved several significant milestones. One of his proudest moments came in 2021 when he appeared as a featured guitarist on Spain's Got Talent, performing on prime time television. He has also released five albums with different musical projects, each one representing a different aspect of his musical journey. His performance experience is extensive, having played across Spain with various professional cover bands, sometimes performing for audiences of thousands.
